Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize software for high performance and low power using CPU architecture knowledge.
- Run application benchmarks and conduct pre- and post-silicon verification for performance and power goals.
- Develop benchmarks for emerging areas and workloads across product segments.
- Analyze software workloads across libraries, compilers, assembly, runtimes, and algorithms to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with CPU, compiler, kernel, benchmark-vendor, and open-source teams to implement CPU performance solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 3+ years of software engineering or related experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 2+ years or a PhD plus 1+ year.
- At least 2 years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong programming ability in C, C++, Assembly, Python, and JavaScript.
- In-depth understanding of Linux internals and device drivers.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and operating-system concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills focused on challenging performance problems.
