Responsibilities
- Design secure, scalable, cost-efficient AI architectures and define technical standards, design patterns, guardrails, and architecture artifacts.
- Make build-versus-buy-versus-integrate decisions and evaluate platforms and vendors.
- Architect Azure, AWS, multi-cloud, and hybrid solutions that meet APAC data-sovereignty requirements.
- Design reliable, reproducible, access-controlled AI development and deployment environments and review cloud cost architecture.
- Govern AI and machine-learning environments, including experimentation, deployment, monitoring, operational support, model versioning, evaluation, and retraining triggers.
- Evaluate foundational models, fine-tuning approaches, RAG architectures, agentic workflows, and secure enterprise deployment patterns.
- Define regional AI platform strategy, shared services, reusable components, and integration patterns.
- Embed encryption, access controls, audit logging, security-by-design, privacy-by-design, data governance, and technical risk mitigation into architectures.
- Provide technical direction and guide team members on solution design, engineering standards, maintainability, and delivery quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Data/AI, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in solution, software, data, or enterprise architecture.
- Experience using data platforms, data lakes, lakehouses, or data warehouses for governed datasets supporting analytics, machine learning, and AI use cases.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data access, analysis, and preparation.
- Experience working with large datasets, data quality and governance standards, and business and technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of security-by-design, privacy-by-design, data governance, and access control.
- At least 2 years of experience providing technical leadership in collaborative or agile delivery environments.
- Proven experience sponsoring AI and IT initiatives, data-driven platforms, IT transformation, and automation at scale.
- Experience with business acumen, financial management, risk governance, and APAC multicultural environments.
- Preferred knowledge of RAG, model integration, agentic workflows, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure data services, MLOps, LLMOps, model lifecycle management, AI evaluation frameworks, API design, infrastructure-as-code, vector databases, semantic search, fine-tuning, generative AI evaluation, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and relevant Azure, AI, Databricks, or AWS certifications.
