Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow the Business Central technical team.
- Define and enforce technical standards, development practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Architect scalable, maintainable end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions.
- Develop and maintain modular, upgradeable AL extensions for Business Central.
- Support legacy Dynamics NAV environments using C/AL during migrations to Business Central Online.
- Design and oversee integrations, custom extensions, solution performance, and system optimization.
- Build integrations between Business Central and third-party systems using APIs, file-based methods, and Azure Functions, including AIS.
- Translate functional specifications into technical designs and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in pre-sales activities, scoping, solution design, code reviews, unit testing, quality assurance, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with Functional Consultants, Solution Architects, and Project Managers while staying current with Business Central updates and platform practices.
Requirements
- Deep experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Dynamics NAV.
- Strong expertise in AL development and the Business Central extension framework.
- Hands-on C/AL and AL development experience for NAV and Business Central.
- Solid understanding of Azure services and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Proven technical leadership and architectural design experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Business Central architecture, object ranges, licensing, and extension management.
- Extensive experience with Git, code review processes, and modern development workflows.
- Knowledge of Business Central applications such as Continia and Tasklet.
- Understanding of Finance, Supply Chain, Projects, and Manufacturing ERP processes.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server and database management.
- Experience with NAV server configuration, service-tier setup, and user management.
- Ideally, experience upgrading NAV versions to Business Central Online.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, stakeholder-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- A Master’s degree or relevant Microsoft or equivalent certifications.
