Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and grow a Business Central technical team.
- Define and enforce technical standards, development practices, and cloud-first architecture principles.
- Design scalable, maintainable end-to-end Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions.
- Develop and maintain modular, upgradeable AL extensions for Business Central.
- Support legacy Dynamics NAV environments using C/AL during transitions to Business Central Online.
- Oversee integrations, custom extensions, solution performance, code quality, documentation, testing, and deployment.
- Build integrations between Business Central and third-party systems using APIs, file-based methods, and Azure Functions, including AIS.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities, scoping, solution design, and client-focused technical planning.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, solution architects, and project managers to translate functional specifications into technical designs.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, quality assurance, performance optimization, and deployment processes.
- Stay current with Business Central updates, development practices, and the platform roadmap.
Requirements
- Deep experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Dynamics NAV.
- Strong expertise in AL development and the Business Central extension framework.
- Hands-on development experience with C/AL and AL for NAV and Business Central.
- Solid understanding of Azure services and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Proven experience in technical leadership and architectural design.
- In-depth knowledge of Business Central architecture, object ranges, licensing, and extension management.
- Extensive experience with Git, code review processes, and modern development workflows.
- Knowledge of Business Central applications such as Continia and Tasklet.
- Understanding of ERP processes including Finance, Supply Chain, Projects, and Manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of SQL Server and database management.
- Experience with NAV server configuration, service-tier setup, and user management.
- Experience upgrading NAV versions to Business Central Online is ideal.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- A Master’s degree or relevant Microsoft or equivalent certifications.
