Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support of the firm’s proprietary software trading environment.
- Automate and maintain systems for deployment of trading software and configuration management.
- Design monitoring and alerting systems to diagnose issues in real-time.
- Maintain continuous delivery pipelines for trading platform components.
- Build and maintain infrastructure monitoring and alerting systems.
- Collaborate on designing applications to meet automation requirements.
- Ensure software and infrastructure components are up-to-date and secure.
- Document new and existing processes for IT operations.
- Automate provisioning of new servers and updates to existing ones.
- Collaborate with traders and technologists to implement creative solutions.
Requirements
- Pursuing a BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
- Fluent in Python or another programming language.
- Proficient with code collaboration tools like git and GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket.
- Basic knowledge of container-based technology such as Docker.
- Understanding of infrastructure management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Basic understanding of monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
- Preferred: Understanding of database design and administration.
- Preferred: Interest in financial markets and trading software.
