Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure connecting onboard train systems with Flix backend services.
- Support telemetry ingestion, alerting, video streams, and remote content delivery.
- Build and maintain scalable Terraform/Terragrunt infrastructure-as-code foundations.
- Lead technical proposals and topics across backend and infrastructure from design through production.
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions and challenge decisions constructively.
- Implement secure train-to-cloud communication, including mTLS, certificate management, and network design.
- Collaborate with train manufacturers to define integration interfaces, protocols, and responsibilities.
- Work with backend developers and Flix teams to deploy services reliably and make them easy to operate and monitor.
- Ensure the platform is reliable, observable, and secure.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering and designing and operating cloud environments.
- Experience with AWS; experience with other major cloud platforms is also welcome.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and Terragrunt for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Solid understanding of systems architecture and system design.
- Good knowledge of networking, including mTLS and SSL/TLS.
- Foundational security knowledge applied to infrastructure decisions.
- Ability to lead technical proposals across backend and infrastructure and align stakeholders.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, including evaluating trade-offs and explaining reasoning.
- Experience with IoT, automotive, or remote device integrations is nice to have.
- Backend engineering or full-stack development experience, ideally in the JVM ecosystem, is nice to have.
- Familiarity with Linux and virtual machines is nice to have.

- Hourly rate of 90–119 PLN under the B2B agreement.
