Responsibilities
- Support the design and development of aircraft engine systems for commercial and military applications.
- Work in areas such as engine controls, gas turbine engine sensors, electrical power systems, vehicle health and data management systems, computing systems, real-time data analytics, embedded controls, and engine test systems.
- Perform design, analysis, testing, software requirements writing, software testing, simulation, tool development, and product or program support.
- Build professional and technical skills through mentorship and training while collaborating with interns, leaders, and engineering teams.
- Support work that upholds GE Aerospace safety and quality priorities.
Requirements
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale without rounding.
- Be enrolled full time in a matriculated, nationally accredited baccalaureate or graduate program in computer engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a related major.
- Have legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available for this opening.
- Be willing and able to work primarily in Cincinnati, Ohio, or Lynn, Massachusetts.
- Have reliable transportation because many sites lack public transportation.
- Have proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Demonstrate engineering aptitude, analytical problem-solving ability, initiative, leadership, teamwork, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Have strong knowledge of computer and Microsoft products.
- Upperclassmen are preferred.
