Responsibilities
- Build, test, package, deploy, and operate cloud platforms and shared platform tooling.
- Automate cloud infrastructure resources using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Package services into AMIs, Docker containers, or serverless deployments.
- Create infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or CloudFormation and Packer.
- Deliver platform improvements and new tools for customers.
- Administer Kubernetes environments.
- Advise customer stakeholders through complex cloud transformations and help deliver cloud platforms, operating models, and security models.
- Operate within an agile environment and apply platform engineering and production operations practices.
Requirements
- Experience building, testing, packaging, deploying, and operating cloud platforms.
- Experience building cloud resources with Terraform or another infrastructure-as-code tool.
- Competence in Python for AWS Lambda or equivalent serverless development.
- Understanding of public cloud, the Shared Responsibility model, and cloud security models.
- Experience building, deploying, and operating containers, ideally with Docker.
- Ability to create security guardrails such as service control policies and configuration rules.
- Understanding of platform engineering, DevOps distinctions, and production service operation.
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud security services.
- AWS experience is beneficial; strong Azure, GCP, or multi-cloud experience is also accepted.
- Must be UK-based and eligible to pass SC clearance checks; willingness to pass future DV clearance is advantageous.
- Curiosity, hands-on interest in technology, and willingness to develop alongside senior engineers.
