Responsibilities

Build and improve mobile-first UI/UX across Shopify storefronts.
Manage and scale multi-currency and multilingual storefront setups.
Develop features that improve store performance, subscription UX, and conversion rates.
Run A/B tests and implement tracking to refine user interactions.
Maintain and extend Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Stripe, Klarna, and other payment gateway integrations.
Own backend reliability through monitoring, error tracking, and webhook event logging.
Enhance internal Shopify Admin tooling.
Propose solutions, sketch architecture, and contribute actively to technical discussions and team ceremonies.

At least 8 years of software development experience.
Strong hands-on TypeScript and Node.js experience with deep JavaScript fundamentals.
Strong understanding of modern web application rendering, browser performance, frontend-backend communication, and global e-commerce systems.
Production experience with React or Vue and Next.js or Nuxt, with depth in at least one framework.
Familiarity with AWS deployment concepts including compute, CDN, storage, and secrets; experience with another cloud may be transferable.
Daily hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile workflows.
Strong written and spoken English for international technical collaboration.
Willingness and ability to learn the Shopify ecosystem.
Preferred experience with Shopify Functions, Shopify APIs, Checkout UI Extensions, Playwright, Cypress, A/B testing, analytics or tracking tools, multi-currency or multilingual storefronts, payment gateway integrations, and cross-browser or cross-platform troubleshooting.
