Responsibilities
- Architect and implement an extensible integration framework that normalizes disparate vendor REST APIs.
- Build and maintain native, cross-platform SDK binaries for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Develop connector modules for CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Graph/Intune, JAMF Pro, and future endpoint management platforms.
- Implement resilient request handling, including retries, backoff, rate-limit compliance, partial-failure recovery, and API version migrations.
- Define SDK packaging, distribution, ABI/API compatibility, semantic versioning, installer formats, and package formats.
- Own public developer documentation and the reference implementation for partner and customer integration teams.
- Lead technical design reviews and make final decisions on shared data contracts and authentication interfaces.
- Set technical direction for a small engineering pod of two other engineers.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years building or deeply integrating with production-scale REST APIs.
- Strong experience with Go, Rust, C, C++, or a similar systems or compiled language producing native cross-platform artifacts.
- Experience designing SDKs or libraries consumed by external developers or OEM partners.
- Strong understanding of API contract design, semantic versioning, backward compatibility, and deprecation strategy.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines that produce multiplatform binary artifacts.
- Ability to write clear technical design documents and drive design reviews to decisions.
- Professional working proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Preferred experience with ABI stability and cross-language bindings such as C FFI, cgo, or PyO3.
- Preferred background in cybersecurity, endpoint security, unified endpoint management, ZTNA, device posture, or compliance.
- Preferred familiarity with PCI-DSS, SOX, or HIPAA.
- Preferred hands-on experience with CrowdStrike Falcon API, Microsoft Graph API, JAMF Pro API, or comparable UEM, EDR, or MDM APIs.
- Preferred experience leading a small engineering pod of two to four people.
- Open-source contributions to SDK, networking, or API client projects are a plus.
