Base Salary
$107k - $161k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement new or revised application systems and programs using Java/J2EE and Spring technologies.
- Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, systems analysis, design, construction, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.
- Contribute to high- and low-level system design and produce modular, maintainable, quality code.
- Analyze complex application and business-process problems and recommend programming solutions.
- Provide user and operational support, consult with business users and technology teams, and assist with customer-facing systems.
- Apply application security measures and ensure adherence to operating standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Advise or coach new and lower-level analysts and serve as a subject matter expert to stakeholders and team members.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in systems analysis and software application programming.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Expert hands-on knowledge of Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and the Spring Framework stack.
- Deep understanding of microservices best practices and patterns.
- Hands-on MongoDB experience and experience with Git and JIRA.
- Strong systems analysis, design, architecture, object-oriented programming, unit testing, and software development lifecycle fundamentals.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects and working with consulting or project-management techniques.
- Good understanding of Kafka; RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ experience is advantageous.
- Experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to manage deadlines, work under pressure, and respond to changing requirements.
