Base Salary
$140k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Write production-grade Ruby code for core services and applications.
- Develop integrations with internal, external, and third-party systems.
- Create API documentation and development standards.
- Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and API security practices.
- Monitor and optimize API performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Support API versioning and backward compatibility.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in Tier 1 and Tier 2 on-call rotations.
- Collaborate with technical leadership on code quality, security, and maintainability.
- Promote AI-enabled development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Requirements
- At least six years of Ruby on Rails development experience.
- Strong experience designing, building, and supporting APIs.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or other relational databases.
- Experience with the RSpec testing framework.
- Preferred experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, OAuth, Git, Sidekiq, Java, and Spring Boot.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Must have lived continuously in the United States for the previous three consecutive years.
- Must successfully pass a government suitability review and background investigation.
