Responsibilities
- Provide full-scope day-to-day production support, including live incident resolution and post-resolution problem management.
- Find the root causes of major system problems and perform data analysis and reconciliation to identify anomalies.
- Install new vendor-provided software releases and provide production engineering support for critical real-time domestic payments.
- Drive engineering excellence through automation, observability, SRE practices, and toil reduction.
- Optimize monitoring and support the adoption of AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
- Collaborate with stakeholders located across different global locations.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL.
- At least three years of experience with Linux and Kubernetes.
- Experience with shell scripting for automation using at least one of Bash, Python, or Java.
- Strong understanding of application technology layers, including storage, operating systems, networks, databases, and applications.
- Strong experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with payments or other transactional systems.
- Experience in an Agile or DevOps environment and production support is preferred.
