Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day production support and resolve live incidents.
- Conduct post-resolution problem management and root-cause analysis for major system issues.
- Install new vendor-provided software releases.
- Provide production engineering and SRE support for critical real-time domestic payments.
- Drive automation, observability, engineering excellence, SRE practices, and toil reduction.
- Optimize monitoring and adoption of AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
- Analyze data and perform reconciliations to identify anomalies and support problem resolution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders located around the world.
Requirements
- At least three years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL.
- At least three years of experience with Linux.
- At least three years of experience with Kubernetes.
- Experience with shell scripting for automation using at least one of Bash, Python, or Java.
- Strong understanding of storage, operating systems, networks, databases, applications, and other technology layers.
- Strong experience with monitoring tools including AppDynamics, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Experience with payments or other transactional systems is required.
- Experience in Agile or DevOps environments and production support is desirable.
