Base Salary
$166k - $258k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, document, build, and maintain clean, scalable full-stack solutions for complex merchandise ordering and integration problems.
- Develop and optimize front-end applications, backend services, and integrations supporting purchase order creation, optimization, tracking, and reconciliation.
- Design, develop, evaluate, observe, and ship AI agents with human-in-the-loop guardrails for merchandise ordering workflows.
- Champion AI-assisted software development across intake, coding, code review, testing, and team enablement.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, business stakeholders, program managers, and product managers to make technical decisions and influence priorities.
- Own the quality of a team’s work, ensure designs are complete, and take ownership of systems spanning multiple engineers.
- Assist engineering managers with planning, analysis, and high-level software strategy.
- Contribute to continuous integration, continuous delivery, cloud migration, test-driven development, and other engineering practices.
- Support production systems through rotating 24/7 shifts and work with business, infrastructure, and security teams on enhancements and fixes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably computer science, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of professional experience delivering quality software, ideally across the full stack.
- Strong front-end experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and a modern framework such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Backend experience with Node.js, Express.js, Java, .NET, Python, Django, Flask, or similar technologies.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, AWS, Azure, or GCP, and deployment best practices.
- Practical experience using AI coding tools such as Claude, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
- Experience building enterprise-level web applications from scratch and making technology choices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills across front-end and backend systems.
- Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum environments with designers, testers, product managers, and other cross-functional partners.
- Experience with system design, architecture, scaling, and performance testing; experience building services is a plus.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
