Base Salary
$110k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain testable, maintainable features for the billing and payments system.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for code exploration, test scaffolding, problem-solving, and production-quality code development.
- Protect security, quality, scalability, and performance while delivering features.
- Write comprehensive test cases for new code using JUnit 5, Mockito, and AssertJ.
- Collaborate and communicate with engineering, product, and global teams, including participation in solutioning meetings.
- Own tasks proactively, adapt to new systems and legacy codebases, and manage work to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Professional experience developing applications with Java in a production environment.
- Three to six years of professional application development experience.
- Understanding of relational databases, particularly MySQL.
- Familiarity with Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Batch, and Hibernate is preferred.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSP is preferred.
- Comfort using AI-assisted development tools and writing comprehensive automated tests.
- Ability to deliver high-quality code, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively across time zones.
- FinTech, higher education, and student billing or tuition workflow experience are appreciated or preferred.
