Base Salary

$120k - $162k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support full-stack applications and reusable software asset components.
  • Build and integrate Generative AI capabilities, including APIs, prompt workflows, retrieval-augmented generation, model integrations, and evaluation patterns.
  • Translate product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria into maintainable, reliable, and secure code.
  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, architects, governance, engineers, and product success partners in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Contribute to code reviews, unit and integration testing, CI/CD, documentation, observability, and production support.
  • Apply responsible AI, data privacy, security, and compliance considerations to AI-enabled features and internal software assets.
  • Troubleshoot defects, performance issues, and integration challenges across front-end, back-end, data, cloud, and AI service layers.
  • Mentor junior developers and share engineering best practices.
  • Implement established architecture patterns and provide practical engineering recommendations without owning enterprise architecture direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred, or equivalent experience is required.
  • At least 5 years of full-stack software development experience delivering production-quality software.
  • Strong knowledge of object-oriented concepts, software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
  • Hands-on experience with modern application development using cloud services, APIs, databases, and CI/CD delivery practices.
  • Practical experience building or integrating AI, machine learning, Generative AI, or data-driven capabilities into software products.
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI, Databricks, LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, or model evaluation is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum product environment.
  • Ability to follow architecture direction, contribute engineering design input, and make sound technical tradeoffs while remaining focused on hands-on development.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior developers.
