Responsibilities

  • Design and develop technical solutions and software components that meet business and technical requirements.
  • Analyze, review, and optimize Java and Spring Boot applications for code quality, scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Reduce technical debt through coding best practices and quality improvements.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Devin for code analysis, refactoring, documentation, and software delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to identify performance bottlenecks and propose technical improvements.
  • Support backend and frontend development activities according to modern engineering standards.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.
  • Document technical solutions and developments using JIRA, Confluence, and ALM.
  • Collaborate with production support teams to resolve technical issues when required.
  • Ensure applications comply with cybersecurity, quality, and development standards.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional experience as a Software Developer or Code Analyst.
  • Strong experience with Java, JDBC, J2EE, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Maven, Node.js, JADE/Pug, HTML, Oracle Database, REST APIs, and microservices.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Devin, or similar AI coding assistants.
  • Experience improving code quality, reducing technical debt, and increasing development efficiency.
  • Knowledge of application security and code quality tools such as SonarQube and Fortify.
  • Experience in Agile software development environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Spanish proficiency at C1 minimum and English proficiency at B1 minimum, with B2 preferred.
  • Cloud platform and distributed systems experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Treasury or Financial Services products is preferred.
  • Ability to translate business analyst requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working in multicultural and cross-functional teams is preferred.
