Responsibilities
- Develop software maintenance and upgrade solutions for tactical systems supporting the U.S. Navy’s Aegis Weapons System.
- Participate in all activities of the software development lifecycle, including required processes and reviews.
- Apply object-oriented design, design patterns, software insulation techniques, plugins, system integration, and real-time system analysis in a collaborative development environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- Five to seven years of experience in software development, maintenance, or support in relevant open/layered architecture, operating environment, modeling, assurance, analysis, or integration contexts.
- Experience developing software with Java, C++, or Python and working in Linux and UNIX environments.
- Experience with scaled Agile software development principles, object-oriented design, design patterns, IDEs such as Eclipse, UML, and driver-based or automated test environments.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance or other contract-required authorization.
- Preferred experience includes ClearCase, JIRA, xUnit, JUnit, CPPUnitLite, CMMI Level 5 lifecycle processes and procedures, and assemblers.
