Responsibilities
- Ensure the reliability of major data warehouse products, services, and query engines.
- Meet service-level objectives and agreements, and respond to system outages and issues.
- Analyze service performance and reliability patterns, identify bottlenecks, and implement preventive measures.
- Work with development teams to optimize application performance and resource utilization.
- Build incident management processes, lead troubleshooting and resolution, and coordinate postmortems and cross-functional incident response.
- Develop end-to-end deployment and reliability toolchains and automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and management.
- Develop auto-failure detection, auto-healing, chaos engineering, and disaster drill capabilities.
- Integrate reliability and performance considerations into the software lifecycle.
- Assess and forecast infrastructure needs based on growth patterns and upcoming initiatives.
- Stay current with trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in site reliability and infrastructure engineering.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in the SRE domain.
- At least 2 years of experience with and in-depth understanding of Linux, computer networking, and databases.
- Proficiency with common SRE/DevOps open-source toolsets, system monitoring tools, and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with ClickHouse, Hadoop, Doris, Spark, Presto, and Kubernetes.
- At least 2 years of coding experience in one or more scripting or programming languages, including Python, Shell, Java, or Go.
- Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, written communication, verbal communication, ownership, collaboration, and customer-first skills.
- Ability to collaborate with partners and team members across time zones and countries.
