Responsibilities
- Drive the platform refresh across the launchpad, side navigation, login, navigation patterns, empty states, tables, workflows, and other high-frequency product experiences.
- Transform loose explorations, customer problems, brand direction, and product intuitions into polished, production-ready UI.
- Build and evolve the design system, including tokens, components, interaction patterns, motion principles, layout primitives, documentation, and implementation details.
- Translate the brand refresh into a cohesive product experience rather than a superficial reskin.
- Raise product quality across visual design, interaction design, accessibility, responsiveness, performance, and micro-details.
- Prototype directly in code for motion, interaction, responsiveness, keyboard behavior, AI workflows, and complex financial surfaces.
- Identify and systematize or automate design-to-code workflows and help create reusable context, components, and patterns for AI-assisted development.
- Partner with product designers, engineers, and founders to shape product experiences and contribute design opinions and alternatives.
Requirements
- Exceptional visual taste, interaction sensibility, and strong product instincts.
- Ability to write clean, performant production frontend code and understand how modern web interfaces are built.
- React experience is preferred; Svelte experience is a bonus.
- Portfolio or body of work demonstrating visual judgment, interaction design, and movement between design exploration and production execution.
- Experience or comfort with design systems, reusable primitives, design tokens, component APIs, accessibility, responsiveness, performance, and interaction details.
- Comfort using AI tools to accelerate prototyping and automate repetitive design-engineering workflows.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments, form points of view, prototype alternatives, incorporate feedback, and ship quickly.
