Base Salary
$218k - $257k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own architecture and delivery of foundational capabilities including MCP tool registries, AI orchestration layers, risk-based access automation, and the away-team contribution model.
- Design and implement MCP procedure constructs, agentic guardrails, HITL orchestration, and evaluation frameworks for secure autonomous operations.
- Lead technical direction, author technical design documents, run design reviews, decompose initiatives, conduct code reviews, and mentor engineers.
- Build reliable and secure distributed backend services while owning SLOs, observability, incident response, and operational readiness for Tier-1 systems.
- Partner with EAA engineering, Product Engineering, and Security Engineering teams to deliver shared platform primitives and cross-functional outcomes.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience architecting and delivering large-scale, high-traffic distributed systems.
- Deep proficiency in backend service design, API development with gRPC, MCP, and GraphQL, and scalable microservices architectures.
- Ability to independently lead ambiguous, high-impact technical initiatives across complex, multi-team problem spaces and produce high-quality, well-tested code.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Kafka, MQ, Redis or Memcached, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience building secure, compliant internal tools or platforms involving security controls, access management, audit logging, and data governance in regulated financial services.
- Experience building or integrating agentic AI systems, including MCP servers, LLM orchestration layers, RAG pipelines, HITL workflows, or evaluation and guardrail frameworks.
- Proficiency in Go and willingness to work across Python.
- Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight and improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
