Responsibilities
- Drive innovation by exploring and integrating new machine learning techniques into GEICO’s portfolio.
- Promote AI/ML engineering best practices and foster a culture of craftsmanship and innovation.
- Help set the vision and strategy for organizational machine learning and AI initiatives.
- Lead architecture design for scalable and efficient machine learning systems.
- Integrate advanced ML techniques into existing workflows.
- Develop frameworks for model interpretability, fairness, explainability, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Design production model monitoring and maintenance systems, including alerting, retraining pipelines, and model governance.
- Lead cross-functional teams, mentor engineers, and deliver high-impact machine learning projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience designing and implementing machine learning systems.
- Experience with data governance, security, regulatory compliance, fairness, transparency, and ethical considerations in AI systems.
- Extensive knowledge of machine learning algorithms, large-scale data pipelines, and real-time ML serving systems.
- Proven ability to scale ML models in production and design robust monitoring and alerting systems.
- Expertise in cross-functional leadership, mentoring, and delivery of high-impact ML projects.
- 10+ years of proficiency in Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
- 10+ years of experience with data orchestration workflow tools such as DBT and Airflow.
- 8+ years of experience with big-data technologies such as Spark, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Snowflake, and Neo4j.
- Extensive experience with cloud providers such as AWS and Azure, including machine learning services such as SageMaker, Azure ML, and AWS Bedrock.
