Responsibilities
- Lead complex frontend development using TypeScript, React, and Next.js, including performance, state management, real-time UIs, and AI integration.
- Build and integrate LLM-powered features into customer-facing production workflows.
- Work across the stack and contribute backend changes when required by the problem.
- Take products from early prototypes through beta and production while making architecture and scope decisions.
- Mentor mid-level engineers and use code reviews to raise engineering quality and standards.
- Translate evolving business goals into shipped products with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in the TypeScript ecosystem and modern tooling, with the ability to write clean, modular, scalable, testable, and maintainable code.
- Strong product judgment and experience understanding customer problems and reshaping or abandoning work based on customer feedback.
- Ability to distinguish throwaway prototypes from production-grade systems and make appropriate architectural tradeoffs.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or a custom AI-assisted development setup on non-trivial problems.
- High autonomy and experience working effectively in a startup environment with evolving requirements.
- Prior Staff-level or equivalent software-company experience is preferred.
- Experience leading a new product from zero to launch is preferred.
- Experience with multi-tenant systems and their architectural constraints is preferred.
