Base Salary
$165k - $231k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the embedded Linux distribution and board support packages.
- Manage kernel configuration, device drivers, and the bootloader.
- Design and maintain common runtime libraries and SDKs for other teams.
- Bring up new compute platforms from power-on to production-ready OS.
- Set best practices for the Linux platform and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Deep embedded Linux experience with custom Linux images (Yocto or Buildroot).
- Kernel-level competence in device drivers and debugging kernel failures.
- Experience with bootloaders like U-Boot and secure boot concepts.
- Strong C programming skills and scripting knowledge (Python/shell).
- Experience in board bring-up from schematic review to stable OS.
