Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Lead security testing, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments for flight software and embedded spacecraft hardware.
- Conduct penetration testing, red-team campaigns, and red-team versus blue-team exercises across space, link, and ground segments.
- Research spacecraft vulnerabilities, emerging cyber threats, third-party software, open-source repositories, and embedded microcode.
- Write custom testing scripts and low-level code for resource-constrained environments.
- Document findings, provide risk-based recommendations, and support remediation and mitigation activities.
- Collaborate with software, systems, and integration teams to incorporate cybersecurity practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Operations, or equivalent certification, and typically at least 5 years of related experience.
- Experience testing software, firmware, embedded systems, or mission-critical platforms.
- Experience with threat modeling, risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments for complex software and hardware systems.
- Experience with embedded software penetration testing, red teaming, or vulnerability research applied to aerospace or critical infrastructure platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to write custom testing scripts and low-level code using C/C++, Python, or Assembly.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- Ability to complete a U.S. government background investigation and provide proof of U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency if required.
- Preferred experience with spacecraft, satellite, aerospace, defense, safety-critical systems, or flight software security assessments.
- Preferred knowledge of secure software development practices and DevSecOps methodologies.
