Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and implementation of scalable Angular Micro Frontend systems using Webpack Module Federation or Angular Native Federation.
- Define shell and remote integration patterns, routing, lazy loading, runtime performance, and independent deployment strategies.
- Establish monorepo practices using tools such as Nx or Lerna, including shared libraries, build caching, and dependency graphs.
- Drive modern Angular engineering using Standalone Components, Signals, Deferrable Views, and functional routers and guards.
- Architect state management and data flow with NgRx, RxJS, or Angular Signals across federated applications.
- Oversee reusable UI component libraries, design systems, performance profiling, bundle optimization, and lazy loading.
- Define and enforce frontend coding, linting, security, accessibility, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing standards.
- Collaborate with backend engineering and product teams on technical specifications and API integrations.
- Mentor mid-level developers, conduct code reviews, influence architecture, and lead development across distributed teams.
- Evaluate technical risks and ensure compliance with organizational policies, WCAG 2.1 AA, OWASP, CSP, and CORS guidelines.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional software application development experience, focused on enterprise web applications.
- 5+ years of deep, hands-on Angular experience, including modern Angular versions 15+ and TypeScript.
- Production experience designing and deploying Micro Frontend architectures using Module Federation.
- Strong experience with monorepo management tools, specifically Nx.
- Mastery of HTML5, CSS3, Sass/SCSS, and modern JavaScript ES6+.
- Advanced proficiency with RxJS and state management libraries such as NgRx or Akita.
- Experience with Jest, Cypress, or Playwright for unit and end-to-end testing.
- Understanding of Webpack, Esbuild, and Angular CLI configurations.
- Strong experience integrating RESTful APIs and WebSockets; Python-based microservices experience is a plus.
- Experience in mature Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning and technical debt management.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, communication, architectural leadership, and cross-team influence skills.
- Bachelor’s or university degree or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
