Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, documentation, testing, deployment, and support of backend ticketing solutions built with C# and .NET Core.
- Modernize legacy mainframe ticketing capabilities into scalable, resilient, cloud-native services.
- Configure AI agents and orchestrate workflows that transform requirements and architecture artifacts into detailed technical specifications.
- Design event-driven architectures and integrations using Solace messaging technologies.
- Define API contracts, security standards, policies, and routing rules through Kong API Gateway.
- Architect AWS infrastructure using ECS, EKS, Lambda, RDS, and related cloud-native services.
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Harness for build, testing, security validation, deployment, and release activities.
- Lead API integrations between internal platforms, external systems, and cloud services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business capabilities into technical solutions and delivery plans.
- Facilitate technical discussions, design reviews, and architecture assessments while tracking risks, dependencies, and decisions.
- Mentor and coach developers in software engineering, cloud-native design, AI-assisted development, and technical problem-solving.
- Partner with Quality Engineering teams to improve automation, testability, reliability, and software quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 3 years of software development experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, documenting, testing, and debugging enterprise software systems.
- Deep expertise in C#, .NET Core, object-oriented design, distributed systems, microservices, and API-first architectures.
- Experience modernizing legacy or mainframe applications into cloud-native architectures.
- Production experience with Solace messaging, Kong API Gateway, AWS, GitHub Actions, and Harness.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI coding agents, large language model workflows, or AI-assisted engineering practices into software development.
- Experience with spec-driven development, technical documentation, automated delivery, and Agile/Scrum or SAFe frameworks.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience mentoring developers, influencing without direct authority, facilitating technical decisions, and collaborating across engineering and business organizations.
- Preferred experience includes airline ticketing, order management, reservation, or passenger services platforms; generative AI, prompt engineering, agent orchestration, and evaluation; Python scripting; event-driven architectures; Domain-Driven Design, event sourcing, CQRS, and cloud-native patterns.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship and successfully complete the interview process.
