Responsibilities

  • Implement backend APIs and services that power advertiser-facing UI experiences.
  • Build and optimize campaign management and advertising optimization services.
  • Improve the reliability, scalability, latency, observability, and automation of mission-critical systems.
  • Apply LLMs and generative AI to simplify advertiser workflows and automate repetitive campaign tasks.
  • Integrate personalized recommendations, smart defaults, and AI-assisted decision support with data scientists and ML engineers.
  • Partner with product managers, UX designers, data scientists, and engineering teams to deliver measurable advertiser value.
  • Use AI-enabled development tools, automated testing, and operational reviews to improve engineering and product outcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture, design, and continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field with 5+ years of experience, a master’s degree with 3+ years of experience, or equivalent related professional experience.
  • 5+ years of backend software development experience with cloud-based and distributed systems at scale.
  • Proficiency in Java/J2EE, C#, or similar object-oriented languages.
  • Hands-on experience integrating services with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure and test automation, and Agile development environments.
  • Experience designing and deploying scalable services in AWS, Azure, GCP, or another cloud environment.
  • Preferred experience with advertising technologies such as ad serving, campaign management, RTB, or auctions.
  • Preferred experience with Flink, Kafka, or similar event-streaming and real-time data-processing technologies.
  • Preferred experience with data-driven systems, ML-powered features, experimentation platforms, performance tuning, observability, generative AI, and multi-quarter cross-team projects.
  • A master’s degree in a related technical field is preferred.
