Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AI-based recommendation system services for personalized Prime Video experiences.
- Build distributed systems supporting high-volume, low-latency customer experiences.
- Develop tooling and automation that improve recommendation-system efficiency, visibility, and reliability.
- Lead technical strategy, architecture, design discussions, and implementation across team boundaries.
- Collaborate with applied scientists, product managers, external partners, and software teams to improve discovery and personalization.
- Mentor junior engineers and train teammates on software design, testing, operations, and system context.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement monitoring, alerting, and operational excellence practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team lead.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.

- The base salary range is $168,100.00-$227,400.00 USD annually for USA, Washington, Seattle.
