Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale robust backend services and high-performance APIs.
- Contribute to distributed systems, cloud-native applications, APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Ensure seamless integration with frontend applications, including React-based interfaces.
- Support the vision and guide a team of engineers across core engineering priorities.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver the digital products portfolio.
- Support software development strategy, industry standards, and implementation roadmaps.
- Help resolve delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated with engineering initiatives.
- Recommend solutions to business partners that align with strategic business needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Master’s or PhD in computer science or engineering is preferred.
- At least 8 years of relevant software development experience.
- At least 3 years as a senior software engineer working on scalable distributed systems.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with experience in additional programming languages.
- Experience building APIs and microservices.
- Experience with high-throughput, cloud-native distributed systems and cloud-specific PaaS/SaaS solutions.
- Experience with Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS.
- Deep knowledge of design patterns.
- React.js familiarity and full-stack engineering experience are preferred.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams.
