Responsibilities
- Implement tasks within the software development lifecycle while following established standards and procedures.
- Develop, test, debug, and maintain production software features and modules.
- Collaborate with Product, QA, Design, engineering partners, peers, managers, and project leads to deliver features end-to-end.
- Create unit and integration tests and contribute to code and design reviews.
- Troubleshoot production issues and identify opportunities to improve application reliability.
- Contribute to internal developer tooling and automation, including AI/LLM-assisted workflows.
- Participate in Agile practices such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
- Explore emerging technologies and practical applications of AI/LLM capabilities for engineering problems.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Proficiency in a general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases, REST APIs, Git, testing practices, CI/CD concepts, and basic system design.
- Exposure to LLM APIs or models such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Gemini, Llama, or Mistral.
- Experience or project exposure with prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, or agentic workflows.
- Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face Transformers, or vector databases.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
- Coursework, internships, hackathons, or personal projects involving machine learning, NLP, or generative AI are preferred.
- Basic understanding of embeddings, fine-tuning, or model evaluation is beneficial; deep ML specialization is not required.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.
