Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering peers to design, implement, and deliver software for WEX Benefits customers.
- Monitor operational and quality metrics, identify performance and system-health improvements, and support incident-response deep dives.
- Design, test, code, and instrument new solutions while applying team engineering practices.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites covering UI, API, integration, and regression testing.
- Analyze automated test results, troubleshoot failures, and collaborate on resolving defects and test-automation issues.
- Use AI-powered development tools and contribute to TDD, BDD, microservice, and vertical-slice engineering practices.
- Learn new technologies and share findings with the team to support continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or demonstrable equivalent experience.
- At least 3 months of work experience in software engineering.
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
- Knowledge of C# and Python, as applicable.
- Understanding of automated testing and test-automation practices.
- Understanding of applied object-oriented programming, SOLID, and design principles.
- Familiarity with version control and CI/CD practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability and interest in integrating AI/ML-driven development workflows into the software development lifecycle.
- Preferred or learnable technologies include Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Helm, ArgoCD, Terraform, GraphQL, Kafka, MS SQL, Postgres, NoSQL databases, Angular, React, Selenium, and API automation.
