Responsibilities
- Design and develop new software features for SonicWall firewall products.
- Maintain existing software by implementing enhancements and fixing bugs.
- Diagnose and resolve customer-reported issues promptly.
- Write functional and design specifications and support technical documentation.
- Collaborate on code reviews, test-case reviews, and process improvements with other engineers.
- Work effectively with globally distributed teams and multiple projects.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field with at least 3–4 years of software development experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with the C programming language.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, SD-WAN, routing technologies, VPNs, or high availability is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of networking protocols and the TCP/IP stack.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and multithreading.
- Embedded systems development experience is a plus.
- Experience with GDB is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and multitasking skills.
