Responsibilities
- Launch projects through hands-on infrastructure implementation, assess existing infrastructure, and drive improvements.
- Collaborate with clients to define technical roadmaps and build solutions supporting business goals.
- Shape Thoughtworks’ cloud and infrastructure practice through collaboration with technical, business development, marketing, and capability teams.
- Build controls and processes for continuous delivery and infrastructure and application evolution, including automation across the delivery lifecycle.
- Monitor projects and ensure technical expectations for deliverables are consistently met.
- Provide DevOps, cloud, platform, and infrastructure engineering expertise to internal teams and clients.
- Build trusted partnerships with client engineering leadership and recommend innovative solutions to constraints and business policies.
Requirements
- Design and implement enterprise or web-scale hosting platforms and administer application servers, web servers, and databases.
- Have deep knowledge of cloud and virtualization platforms, infrastructure automation, and application hosting technologies, including hands-on AWS experience.
- Have strong Kubernetes and container-orchestration experience, including GitOps workflows for deploying, managing, and troubleshooting containerized workloads.
- Write scripts in at least one scripting language; Golang experience is a plus.
- Manage Linux servers, Windows servers, or container clusters.
- Have experience with an IaaS cloud platform and at least two application runtime platforms such as physical servers, virtual servers, container clusters, serverless platforms, or databases.
- Have experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools across different technology stacks.
- Have worked with monitoring systems for availability, performance, or security.
- Understand infrastructure vulnerabilities, secrets management, network security, and software supply-chain security.
- AI agentic development, unit testing, automated testing, and stress or performance testing experience are bonuses.
- Communicate technical concepts to nontechnical audiences and collaborate with infrastructure, support, network, security, systems administration, and IT leadership teams.
