Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve TENEX’s internal AI platform, including reusable tools, custom skills, Claude Projects, integrations, and department-specific specialists.
  • Partner with teams across the company to identify needs and shape the internal AI platform roadmap.
  • Own and execute a published roadmap with predictable and visible delivery.
  • Maintain and refine the AI work companion based on user feedback and emerging needs.
  • Build reusable integrations between Claude and internal tools using webhooks, MCP connectors, and APIs.
  • Run training sessions, documentation, AMAs, demonstrations, and one-on-one onboarding to increase company-wide AI fluency.
  • Contribute to AI governance, monitoring, and security tooling decisions.
  • Design guardrails for sensitive data and proactively address prompt injection, data leakage, unsanctioned tool use, and output misuse.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software development experience, with Python preferred.
  • Hands-on experience shipping real work with Claude.ai, Claude Code, Cowork, Projects, custom skills, and MCP connectors.
  • Experience using Claude Code to build scripts, integrations, and tooling, with strong prompt engineering ability.
  • Required experience with REST APIs, webhooks, JSON-based integrations, API documentation, authentication flows, and lightweight services.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub and modern engineering practices.
  • Production experience handling sensitive data such as PII, customer data, internal intellectual property, or regulated data.
  • Working knowledge of secrets management, secure SDLC practices, compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, and AI-specific security risks.
  • Ability to translate workflows into scoped AI solutions, present to groups, write documentation and policy materials, and work independently.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with internal AI platforms, AI governance or security tooling, cybersecurity, change management, technical writing, internal enablement, and tools such as Asana, Jira, Confluence, Google Chat, Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Ashby.
  • Anthropic, AI/ML, or security certifications are a plus but not required.

  • Kansas City office preferred, with San Jose or Sarasota, Florida also considered.
  • Candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to one of the three listed cities.
