Responsibilities
- Manage and advance enterprise-scale API Gateway integration platforms and related infrastructure.
- Support automated integrations, API definition standards, secure service connectivity, and platform innovation.
- Use Terraform, Helm, and Ansible for repeatable deployments and environment consistency.
- Monitor performance, conduct upgrades and patching, and plan platform updates without business disruption.
- Drive operational excellence through on-call support, post-mortem investigations, resilience improvements, and reliability targets.
- Perform technical feasibility analysis, solution design, complex debugging, unit testing, and automated testing improvements.
- Collaborate with application development, infrastructure teams, external services, customers, and technical stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers, guide technical teams, and document architectures and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 4 years of relevant technical and business experience in IT systems delivery, operations, and support.
- At least 3 years of experience implementing and managing IT systems through technical engineering efforts.
- Hands-on experience with API Gateway management, HTTP integration, API authentication frameworks, SSL certificates, infrastructure as code, AWS services, observability, and monitoring.
- Experience bridging infrastructure and development teams and aligning roadmaps and goals.
- Ability to lead and guide technical teams and explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical SaaS systems.
- Familiarity with API management and gateway software, COTS product management, reliability engineering metrics, and scripting or programming.
- Experience with high-transaction, high-uptime environments, cloud-native technology initiatives, complex enterprise connectivity debugging, and customer technical collaboration.
