Responsibilities
- Support and improve tools for continuous builds, automated testing, and release management.
- Gather infrastructure and deployment requirements from development and product teams.
- Profile build processes, identify bottlenecks, and automate tasks with scripts.
- Implement continuous integration and deployment build principles using appropriate tooling.
- Provide expertise in quality engineering, test planning, testing methodologies, and software project deployment.
- Help businesses develop code deployment strategies and contribute to technical planning.
- Apply software development lifecycle, security, scalability, documentation, refactoring, and testing practices.
- Document procedures for building and deploying software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- At least three years of professional experience.
- At least two years of production experience designing, deploying, securing, and optimizing cloud services.
- Experience creating and maintaining automated build tools and assessing code and local application builds.
- In-depth knowledge of clustering, load balancing, high availability, disaster recovery, and auto scaling.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD processes.
- Experience with Azure infrastructure services and automated deployments.
- Experience with DevOps and infrastructure as code using Bicep and CloudFormation.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS instances and services including EC2, ASG, S3, EBS, ELB, RDS, IAM, Route 53, CloudWatch, and EKS.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
- Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Understanding of DNS, DHCP, subnets, server load balancing, and firewalls.
