Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and build Go microservices and REST APIs using Echo for the Anywhere Cloud console and platform layer.
- Build Kubernetes operators, controllers, jobs, and services using controller-runtime, Helm charts, CRDs, and the Kubernetes API.
- Develop functionality for cluster lifecycle management, application deployment, authentication, and credential brokering.
- Integrate with internal services including the CCF/Taikun provisioning API, Knox, cert-manager, and Proxinator, as well as AWS and GCP APIs.
- Design database schemas, write migrations with golang-migrate, and manage PostgreSQL-backed cluster state and deployment records.
- Write unit, integration, and system-level tests and validate changes against real Kubernetes clusters.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production backend systems.
- Strong day-to-day Go proficiency with experience building and maintaining production Go services.
- Application-developer-level understanding of Kubernetes, including pods, services, deployments, CRDs, and RBAC, plus experience deploying and debugging services on Kubernetes.
- Experience building and maintaining REST APIs, including request validation, middleware, error handling, and versioning.
- Experience writing SQL, designing schemas, and managing migrations against PostgreSQL or a similar relational database.
- Ability to independently break down loosely defined problems and deliver working solutions.
- Preferred experience with Kubernetes operators or controllers using controller-runtime or kubebuilder, reconciliation loops, and CRD design.
- Preferred experience authoring Helm charts for complex multi-service deployments.
- Preferred familiarity with OIDC, SAML, mTLS, SigV4, token exchange, or credential-brokering patterns.
- Preferred hands-on experience with AWS or GCP APIs, including IAM, S3, and networking.
- Preferred familiarity with Bazel, Make, structured logging with slog, metrics, or distributed tracing.
