Responsibilities
- Provide end-to-end technical leadership across the Front Office application portfolio.
- Lead the design, development, implementation, and support of solutions for investment, trading, portfolio management, and related capabilities.
- Define application roadmaps and prioritize strategic technology investments with Product Owners, stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams.
- Drive cloud adoption, platform simplification, resiliency, automation, modernization, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Act as the primary technical authority for architecture, design patterns, technology selection, and engineering practices.
- Manage technical delivery across concurrent initiatives, including risk management, stakeholder communication, and quality outcomes.
- Mentor, coach, and develop engineers and technical analysts.
- Ensure platforms meet security, compliance, resiliency, performance, and operational supportability standards.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Python, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience designing and delivering cloud-native solutions using AWS services and architecture patterns.
- Understanding of AI and Generative AI technologies, including tools such as Claude, and the ability to implement practical business use cases.
- Experience leading complex enterprise application landscapes and large-scale technology transformation initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, system integration, API design, application security, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering best practices.
- Experience in Front Office, Asset Management, Capital Markets, Investment Management, or related financial services domains.
- Ability to influence stakeholders, drive consensus, and lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen for balancing technology investment, risk, delivery timelines, and business value.
- Track record of solving complex problems and delivering measurable results.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
