Responsibilities
- Design, build, maintain, and modernize backend integrations using AWS Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and DynamoDB.
- Develop API-based automations and orchestrate data flows between Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, Snowflake, Coupa, Stripe, and other SaaS platforms.
- Own software from design through GitLab CI/CD and deployment with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Support ETL batch pipelines and real-time event streaming using CDC and platform events.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and business systems analysts on integration design, testing, code reviews, sprint activities, and technical handoffs.
- Participate in production support and resolve critical integration and data pipeline issues end to end.
- Build and maintain solutions across Finance, People, Sales, Legal, and BI functions.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- At least five years of backend software development or automation experience using Node.js, Python, or similar tools.
- Strong experience with AWS services, especially Lambda, S3, SQS/SNS, EventBridge, and DynamoDB.
- Expertise in database design, schema modeling, and query optimization, preferably with DynamoDB and Snowflake.
- Strong knowledge of integration design patterns, secure REST and SOAP API development, and system interoperability.
- Experience developing GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines and managing infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience building and maintaining integrations with Salesforce, NetSuite, Workday, Coupa, Stripe, and Snowflake.
- Familiarity with data validation, schema evolution, and cross-system reconciliation is preferred.
- Ability to navigate production environments, own critical issue resolution, and collaborate effectively in distributed global teams.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and generative AI for code generation is preferred.
