Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve backend services and telemetry platform capabilities.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, participate in operational support, and improve service reliability.
- Collaborate with engineers, data teams, product partners, and game teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
- Review code, contribute to technical design, and promote quality, observability, and maintainability.
- Document systems, technical decisions, and operational procedures to support handover and team continuity.
Requirements
- Significant professional experience as a backend or platform engineer, including ownership of production systems.
- Strong Java experience and software-engineering fundamentals, including maintainable service design, high-quality coding, testing, debugging, and code review.
- Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, APIs, and streaming pipelines.
- An operational mindset with experience in incident investigation, monitoring, and reliability improvements.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and communicate with technical and non-technical partners.
- Experience with GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Kafka/Confluent, and SQL/BigQuery is beneficial.
