Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and improve automated test suites in Python for backend services, APIs, and complex business workflows.
- Build scalable, reusable test automation solutions and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Plan, implement, report, and execute exploratory, integration, regression, and stress testing using qTest.
- Apply risk-based testing techniques covering positive and negative paths, edge cases, boundary conditions, and critical business flows.
- Analyze test failures, identify root causes, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Use quality metrics and test analytics to identify coverage gaps and drive improvements in test coverage, automation efficiency, and product quality.
- Partner with developers, business analysts, and product owners to embed quality throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Requires a minimum of 4–8+ years of software quality assurance experience with significant hands-on test automation experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python 3 and experience developing non-trivial automation frameworks, test suites, scripts, or applications.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining automated tests for complex enterprise applications.
- Strong knowledge of risk-based testing, boundary value analysis, equivalence partitioning, negative testing, edge-case testing, and exploratory testing.
- Experience working in Agile software development teams and with CI/CD pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Git, GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and qTest or similar test management tools.
- Ability to independently investigate complex issues, identify risks, and drive quality improvements.
- Solid understanding of running systems on Linux.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of non-functional testing, capital markets or pre-trade risk, Selenium or similar UI automation tools, SonarQube, Nexus IQ Server, and programming in Java, Python, or bash scripting.
- Strong automation-first mindset, ability to identify high-risk scenarios, measurable quality improvement experience, and strong cross-functional collaboration skills.
