Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, deploy, and operate complex distributed software systems.
- Build and improve receive services that support Amazon’s fulfillment and inventory systems.
- Contribute to the reinvention of Amazon Fulfillment Inventory systems for customers, vendors, and sellers.
- Apply software architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling principles.
- Participate in coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming in at least one software programming language.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
