Responsibilities
- Develop and own backend features and services using Python/Django, including third-party vendor integrations.
- Build and evolve frontend experiences with React and TypeScript, including experimentation frameworks.
- Lead complex initiatives from discovery through deployment and own solutions throughout their lifecycle.
- Shape architecture for scalable, reliable, maintainable systems and improve developer productivity.
- Provide technical leadership through architectural reviews, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.
- Partner with Product, Data, and UX teams to use experimentation, customer insights, and measurable outcomes to guide development.
- Participate in on-call support one week every five weeks and apply observability, monitoring, reliability, and operational best practices.
Requirements
- Senior-level full-stack engineering experience with approximately 60% backend and 40% frontend work.
- Experience designing and evolving large-scale web applications, APIs, distributed systems, high-volume data flows, and scalable architectural patterns.
- Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions, drive engineering practices, and contribute to architectural direction.
- Strong product mindset and ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into scalable technical solutions using experimentation and data.
- Experience owning complex initiatives from concept through delivery and measurable outcomes.
- Ability to collaborate across engineering, product, design, and data functions, with English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
- Experience with code and design reviews, cross-functional teamwork, technical leadership, observability, reliability, monitoring, and operational practices.
- Hands-on experience using agentic AI beyond code generation, including establishing quality gates and safety nets for AI-augmented workflows.
