Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and develop efficient core platform functionality in C++ and Python.
- Design, optimize, and maintain high-performance MySQL and SQLite3 data layers, including schemas, indexes, and queries.
- Configure, monitor, and optimize Linux services and applications for high availability, low latency, and efficient resource use.
- Use profiling, debugging, and analysis tools to identify and resolve CPU, memory, and I/O performance bottlenecks.
- Build and maintain shared valuation, risk, P&L, marking, and calibration frameworks across asset classes.
- Develop and maintain C++/Python interfaces, APIs, and shared libraries used by downstream Strats teams.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience with an object-oriented programming language and deep technical proficiency in C++ and Python in a Linux environment.
- Experience designing and scaling Redis instances, including caching strategies, memory eviction policies, and data persistence tuning.
- Deep familiarity with Linux system services, network and I/O performance analysis, and system-level debugging.
- Proven experience diagnosing and resolving CPU, memory, and I/O latency issues with profiling, debugging, and analysis tools.
- Software architecture experience building shared libraries, frameworks, or platform components for other developers.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical optimizations and system requirements to stakeholders and downstream teams.
- Ability to use AI tools productively and responsibly while applying critical judgment to data and AI outputs.
