Base Salary
$132k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build internal platform capabilities, self-service workflows, templates, and reusable components for application teams.
- Automate cloud foundations, CI/CD, secrets management, container platforms, network services, provisioning, configuration, and deployment operations.
- Support production-grade Kubernetes and multi-cloud landing zones across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Create developer enablement resources including documentation, reference architectures, golden paths, and platform tooling.
- Build observability into platform services and participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with SRE, Security, product owners, and engineering teams to shape platform strategy and resolve systemic delivery bottlenecks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience; alternatively, a Master’s degree may qualify with fewer years of experience.
- At least 8 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, infrastructure engineering, or a related discipline, with the stated bachelor’s/master’s experience alternatives.
- Proven experience building internal platforms, automation frameworks, or developer tooling in production environments.
- Experience with multi-cloud and/or enterprise-scale infrastructure environments.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, cloud-native architectures, AWS, GCP, and/or Azure.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, deployment automation, secrets management, artifact management, and infrastructure provisioning tools.
- Strong scripting or programming skills for automation and platform development, plus knowledge of observability, reliability, and operational readiness practices.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with internal developer platforms, IDPs, golden paths, self-service portals, platform APIs, Cloud Centers of Excellence, FinOps, GreenOps, cloud governance, policy-as-code, and service catalogs.
