Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Internal Developer Platform features and components with emphasis on usability, scalability, and performance.
- Integrate and automate CI/CD, monitoring, security, cloud, and other internal and external tools into developer workflows.
- Provide technical guidance, documentation, and support to development teams using the platform.
- Collaborate with product owners and engineers on requirements definition, feature prioritization, and platform roadmap planning.
- Improve platform reliability, security, developer experience, and performance through monitoring, refactoring, and tuning.
- Influence the Internal Developer Platform’s technical direction and contribute to architecture and technology selection.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform, or software engineering roles focused on infrastructure and developer tooling.
- Proven experience designing, building, and maintaining Internal Developer Platforms or large-scale developer tooling ecosystems.
- Strong programming experience with one or more of TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Python, or Node.js; React.js experience is especially relevant for frontend work.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and a deep understanding of compute, storage, networking, and IAM services.
- Extensive containerization and orchestration experience, with Docker and Kubernetes required; Helm Charts experience is a plus.
- Strong experience designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
- Solid Infrastructure as Code experience with tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with cloud environment management, web service operations, monitoring and troubleshooting, server-side web service development, Kafka Streams or Kafka Connect, automated testing in CI/CD, microservices, or NoSQL databases such as Cassandra is desirable.
- Business analysis skills, strong communication, teamwork, ownership, and experience working in multicultural and multigenerational teams are desired.
