Base Salary
$112k - $147k/yr
Responsibilities
- Drive development of the AWS-based cloud platform while leading a team of developers.
- Lead Cloud Platform Development across AWS CDK infrastructure-as-code libraries, GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, and the Backstage internal developer portal.
- Evaluate and integrate new AWS services and tools to improve platform capabilities.
- Set coding and architecture standards for platform components and ensure consistency, security, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with application teams to define and implement scalable, secure, and reusable cloud architecture patterns.
- Balance hands-on development with strategic planning and technical leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of software development experience required.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and AWS required.
- Hands-on experience with EKS, ECS, Kubernetes, Route 53, Redis Cache, IAM Roles, S3, DynamoDB, and SQS/SNS.
- Experience building event-driven and asynchronous systems and implementing microservices and distributed systems.
- Deep knowledge of AWS architecture and infrastructure as code using AWS CDK or similar tools.
- People leadership experience and airline industry background preferred.
- Ability to understand and responsibly use generative AI tools while validating outputs and following data privacy, security, and company policies.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
