Base Salary
$125k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build low-latency, high-availability backend services that orchestrate alarm detection and response
- Create flexible, extensible AI-powered workflows for intrusion and video monitoring
- Build distributed systems integrating internal products and third-party services such as notifications, transcription, and dispatch
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, frontend engineers, and firmware engineers on end-to-end customer experiences
Requirements
- 1–3 years of backend engineering experience in a production environment
- Strong programming skills, with Go preferred
- Knowledge of distributed system design, API architecture, and event-driven workflows
- Experience with databases such as Postgres and scalable data systems such as Kafka and Redis
- Familiarity with Temporal or other workflow engines is preferred
- Experience developing real-time AI systems that reason from video and audio inputs is preferred
