Base Salary
$134k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate robust Kubernetes platforms and tooling for rapid, consistent, and secure service operations.
- Develop performant, maintainable code and debug cloud-native distributed systems.
- Improve platform reliability, operability, cost efficiency, and developer self-service through documentation and tooling.
- Influence engineering teams to adopt improved architectural patterns and cloud-native site reliability practices.
- Scope, plan, and deliver technical platform work while educating and supporting software engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of applicable experience in platform engineering and container orchestration.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain CJIS clearance for full U.S. production access.
- Experience building platforms on AWS or Azure, preferably both.
- Production-scale experience building, operating, and innovating Kubernetes clusters such as AKS or EKS.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, C#, or Java.
- Experience operating infrastructure and systems that are revenue-critical, security-critical, or health and life-safety critical.
- Experience using CI/CD platforms, observability tools, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Experience designing tooling for operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems and supporting software-engineering teams.
